  • May 1937, Jaspar Blowsnake, Thunder clan / Winnebago; this recording is found at Sound Archives of the American Philosophical Society Library, and is a good example of a warbling flute.

Organizations:
  • International Native American Flute Association (INAFA) is an active organization whose goal is to foster the preservation, appreciation, and advancement of the Native American flute. INAFA publishes a quarterly newsletter, "Voice of the Wind", which tracks many aspects of this growing community.
  • INAFA also promotes the many flute circles that are organized by its membership. The flute circles provide local and regional venues for people to gather and share in the blessings of the flute.
